Rita Miller

M.Ed., LPCA

Rita Miller is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate for the Somerset area.

Rita earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Management from the University of Phoenix in October 2003. She continued her education, enrolling into the Master of Education in Counseling & Human Development program at Lindsey Wilson College, earning her degree in December of 2020.

Rita completed her internship at Phoenix Preferred Care during 2020 and continued into a full-time role following graduation and licensure as a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate in January of 2021.

Rita most enjoys working with elementary and middle school aged children to overcome trauma using play therapy techniques. She also enjoys working with children who have Autism. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help her clients succeed. She also has extensive experience working in residential settings with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Rita primarily works in the Somerset/Pulaski County area and provides sessions via telehealth, at school/in the community, or in person in the Somerset office or in the community/home visits.

Outside of work, Rita enjoys Bible study, gardening, being active, watching dramas, and spending time with her family.
