Licensed Professional Counselor Associate for the Lake Cumberland area

Chelsey graduated in 2026 with a Master’s in Education from Lindsey Wilson University. Previously, Chelsey graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University. She recently became a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Kentucky.

Chelsey began gaining clinical experience with Phoenix Preferred Care earlier in 2026 as a student intern. After observing and practicing under supervision, Chelsey became a full-time clinician with Phoenix in the Lake Cumberland area.

Chelsey feels she has always had a helper’s heart and knew she wanted to pursue a career in the helping profession. She wants her clients to know they’re not alone and that, even when it’s hard to see, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Professionally, Chelsey is interested in working with women and children, specializing in anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief/loss, and trauma. Chelsey counsels from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, as she believes our thoughts directly impact our emotions and influence our behaviors and choices. Chelsey also incorporates psychoeducation to give clients skills and visuals they can use in everyday life. Her counseling style is collaborative, supportive, and empathetic, built on trust and focused on strengthening the therapeutic relationship.

Outside of work, Chelsey enjoys spending time with family and friends, birdwatching, gardening, listening to podcasts, watching Disney movies, and reading. Chelsey is also an animal lover, and her cat Garfield is her pride and joy!
