Kayte Blandford

Kayte Blandford is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate for the Louisville Metro area.
Kayte earned her Bachelor of Science in Forensic Investigation from West Virginia University Institute of Technology in 2020. She continued her education by obtaining her Master of Science in Forensic Psychology from Arizona State University and then her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of The Cumberlands. She recently became a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and is under supervision to become a Registered Play Therapist.
Kayte began gaining clinical experience working with clients with substance abuse disorders. She started working for Phoenix Preferred Care as a student intern during her clinical internship experience at the University of the Cumberlands in May 2024. After her time observing and practicing under supervision, Kayte began working full time at Phoenix as a behavioral health clinician.
Kayte is most interested in utilizing child-centered play therapy, psychoeducation, and cognitive behavioral therapy with children and adolescents who are experiencing anxiety, depression, struggling with grief, or have experienced trauma. She is also interested in working with adults who have experienced trauma, grief, or are experiencing anxiety and depression utilizing person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychoeducation. Kayte enjoys working with those who are neurodivergent and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Outside of work, Kayte enjoys listening to all genres of music, watching movies and documentaries, playing games, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys playing and coaching softball, traveling, and is an avid sports fan. Kayte is a member of the American Counseling Association.
