Kelly Burton

MACMHC, NCC, LPCA

Kelly Burton is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the Somerset area.

Kelly earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies from Eastern Kentucky University in 2016. She went on to attend the University of the Cumberlands, where she earned a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023.  

During her graduate program, Kelly completed internships with Phoenix Preferred Care beginning in 2022 and joined as a full-time clinician after graduation. In the same year, she earned licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and became a National Certified Counselor. 

Kelly is most interested in implementing child-centered play techniques with children to address various mental health issues. These include the impacts of stress, trauma, anxiety, and depression, as well as special needs like autism spectrum disorder. Kelly works with clients as young as 3 years old. She primarily sees clients in the Somerset area in office, home, and
school settings.

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys being home among her family, pets, books, and espresso machine. She is a member of the American Counseling Association.
