Bekah Kennedy

BA

Bekah Kennedy is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work degree at Campbellsville University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Western Kentucky University in 2022. Before starting graduate school, Bekah worked in public education serving as a special education aide, and later in higher ed as an academic support advisor.

As a first-year MSW practicum student, Bekah is intentionally exploring a variety of clinical theories and social work practices. She has found that maintaining a broad focus at this stage helps her in building a strong, versatile foundation. This also allows her to remain open and adaptable to the many directions her future practice might take.

Outside of her professional and academic work, Bekah enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, reading, and exploring different forms of art and creativity. Her most recent crafting hobby is crochet, which provides a sense of relaxation, creativity, and the satisfaction of turning yarn into something meaningful. Bekah also values equity, inclusion, empathy, and accessibility in the mental health field. These principles continue to guide her as she grows in knowledge and confidence as a developing social worker.
