Betty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Union College in 2012. She continued her education by receiving a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology degree from Union College in 2014. She also holds an Associates Degree in Accounting from Somerset Community College, where she served as Phi Beta Lambda Historian from 2001-2002.
Betty worked in various office settings in Accounting, Human Resources, and Marketing roles in the early 2000’s. She worked as an Impact Plus Assistant at Adanta in 2012 while obtaining her Bachelor’s. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree, she entered the foster care field as a Therapeutic Case Manager. She took time off from the human services field for approximately 3 years while her children were young before eventually joining Phoenix Preferred Care as a Targeted Case Manager in December 2017. Betty has completed the necessary training to work with both the Severe Emotional Disability (SED) and Serious Mental Illness (SMI) communities. She has also completed training to work with the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) community. She works as a Home Resource Coordinator for a local foster care agency, providing training, resources, and support for Therapeutic Foster Parents in the Cumberland Region. She also volunteers for the Pulaski Interested Party Review Board, serving as a member of the Legislative Committee on the board.
