Gayle Black is a Targeted Case Manager (Contract) for the Louisville Metro area.
Gayle Black received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky with a double major of English and history in 1988. She worked at St. Anthony’s Family Practice Center and the James Graham Brown Cancer Center as an administrative assistant from 1988 through 1989. After moving to Los Angeles, she took time off to have two children. After returning to Kentucky in 1993, she obtained a Masters in the Art of Teaching from the University of Louisville in 1997.
After several years as a classroom teacher, in Breckinridge and Spencer Counties, she took on the role of service coordinator at Communicare in Hardinsburg in 2006. She then worked as an ESL teacher in South Korea in 2008-2010. She continued this role in China, Poland and Ukraine until returning home in 2012. She worked as an online editor and tutor from 2013 until 2020. She began her career at Phoenix Preferred Care as a case manager in January of 2024, returning to a role that she had found particularly meaningful in the past.
