Kyle Bates

Kyle Bates studied special education in California, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master of Science degree from Azusa Pacific University (2002). She taught special education in Southern California for 25 years, then in Seattle for two years before retiring. Post “retirement,” she has worked virtually as a case manager for special education students and a mentor for new teachers. 

Kyle is a writer and photographer, and is living happily ever after with her partner Nora, dogs Olive and Iris, and parrots Rango and Tootsie.
